Copy a page to itself generates an error

Description

When we create a page (e.g. 'test page 1') then attempt to copy the page to become a sub-page of itself we get the following error:
Error null id in com.atlassian.confluence.impl.journal.JournalEntry entry (don't flush the Session afterQuery an exception occurs)

This is with version 2.6.10 on server version 6.12.2.

If we try the same thing on a server version 5.7.1 with Copy Page Tree 2.4.2 it works successfully.

Digging into this it looks that in the old version it copies that single page under itself, but in the latest version it's in a recursive loop copying the page tree (including the newly created page) under itself until it errors.

We're in the process of a server update and this issue from testing is blocking the update of the whole machine currently.

We have multiple users experiencing this problem, which is creating necessary clutter on our instance.
Please could this be resolved urgently.

We experianced exactely the same problem: A user has copied a complete structure to itself. We got the same error message, and hundreds of pages with Copy-Copy-Copy and so on have been created.

Actually, we had to deactivate the Plugin, as it's creating a big mess on our instance.
