"Find Includes" cannot find usages of a MultiExcerpt that is on a page with HTML characters in the title

Description

  • have a MultiExcerpt on the HOME PAGE of a PERSONAL space

    • notice that the space key for a personal space starts with "~"

  • connect it to a MultiExcerpt Include on another page. It doesn't matter if it is another space or in the same space

  • open the personal space home page in edit mode

  • click on the MultiExcerpt macro

  • click the "Find Includes" button

  • receive this message: "There are no pages with this Multi excerpt"

Workaround:

The root cause is that the right hand single quotation mark in the page title for the personal space home page is an HTML character and the mechanism for "Find Includes" does not work for HTML characters in the title of the page with the MultiExcerpt on it. Other examples of HTML characters are > and <, etc.

So... the workaround for a personal space home page would be to replace the right hand single quotation mark (’) in the personal space's home page title to a single quotation mark (').
