This is not a bug in MultiExcerpt. It is either a bug in Confluence or 'Content Formatting Macros for Confluence'

: one of our engineers investigated and found that root cause is a bug in either Confluence or the 3rd party plugin 'Content Formatting Macros for Confluence'.

He found that ME-Include is correctly returning valid markup after internal processing and passes it to the Confluence renderer.

Somewhere during rendering by Confluence the UI markup is broken.

He found a workaround: do not use quotes (neither double quotes nor single quotes) for urls in CSS like this:

The CSS2 specification allows a url without any quotes.

Do this:

The code is included in CSS macro and that is in multiexcerpt macro on a page, please find attached (code 1 and code 2). Now when I call this code on a different page in the same space using multiexcerpt include macro (see call attached), it shows the desired image in preview mode (see 1 attached) but not when saved.

When I press ctrl+A on the affected page, text can be seen (see 2 attached). It is happening with multiple spaces. I reached out to confluence support but they redirected me to you guys.

Out of Scope
